Not losing for the past 2 weeks

I've been logging my food for 2 months straight now on fit pal and lost 31 so far. Now for the past two weeks I've been the same weight, not even an ounce lost. I never exceed 1200 calories in fact sometimes I log out at 800 or 900 calls. I also drink 4 liters of water daily and eat every 3 hrs to boost my matabolism. Any tips would be great. Thanks

First, 31 pounds in 2 months? That's A LOT. Best for long-term health to take a moderate approach to major weight loss.

Do you exercise? (I would encourage you to eat more, regardless.) Your body may be bored (and is probably protecting itself against starvation because you aren't eating enough - there are many others here who understand the science behind this) - confuse it with something new (exercise) or if you run at the same pace every day, do intervals or hills - mix it up. Trying lifting weights.

I know but the first 15 pounds were not intentional, stress played a huge role and then decided to continue as I wanted to lose weight anyways. Yes I was thinking of working out now that I'm a little lighter. Thanks so much.

I'm sorry for your inadvertent start to weight loss. Training works to make us stronger mentally as well as physically and, for me, has gotten me through some tough times. I hope it serves to be a great outlet and a source of pride for you.

As far as your last sentence, I do understand where you're coming from. If I have taken a break from running due to injury or - life - I find that the extra pounds, even ten, cause havoc with my knees. I have to listen very carefully to my body during the initial month or two to ensure I don't get injured. Nothing is worse than being mentally prepared to work a program, yet physically unable. Good luck to you!

Edit: I completely originally put you could be gaining muscle at the same rate that you lose fat, but eating so little, it's very unlikely regardless of what exercise you may or may not be doing!

Are you exercising? It might be that you're gaining muscle at the same rate that you lose fat. Another thing, like 4leighbee said, that it could be that you eat so little that your body has started to conserve energy and hold onto what you've given it. I also can't go into depth on why or how, I just know it's a thing. Also, maybe consider a good scale of you don't already have one. You could think you're eating 900 calories and in fact be eating much more than that if you aren't careful. Lastly, I hear that as you lose weight and become closer to your goal, it becomes much more difficult to lose weight. There's science behind that, but I also have no clue for this one either haha. I just know it's a thing :) Best of luck, and hang in there! And super congrats on your 31 pounds so far! That is amazing!

Muscle gain is unlikely and even if you were gaining muscle the most a women gains while eating at a surplus and doing a progressive lifting program and doing everything right is less than 0.25 lbs a week. Gaining muscle is very hard. The op didn't mention doing any of these.

Starvation mode is a myth otherwise anorexics and famine victims would be overweight.

Yeah I totally realized that after I put it how unlikely muscle gain would be at that little intake!
