What's goin on everyone? Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!! I was just wondering, what is a good heart rate monitor to purchase? I am doing insanity and yeah it's a crazy workout that I try my hardest while doing and I feel my heart going a mile a minute, I just want one to show me calories and the monitoring. Thanks in advance!

HRM is not really useful for anything but steady state cardio (running, cycling, swimming, etc). And even then it is not useful in the manner you are thinking. How fast your heart beats has very little to do with the number of calories burned.
Heart rate is useful tool for training. Knowing your VO2 Max and Lactate Threshold allows you to tailor your training plans. That's about it.0 -
Hey i do at home workout videos just to stay fit and i love having a HRM to see how many calories a burned and watch my heart rate. Just motivates me more. I just bought a basic HRM I love it. Its a polar FT4. At the end of my workouts i can see the duration and calories burned0
