You can do cardio All day long, and yes you will burn fat.. But you Will not gain muscle! Eventually your body will start using muscle as fuel leading to muscle loss! I do about 20-30, sometimes less of cardio a day... After my cardio I lift weights... I lift heavy weights! You are not going to look like a man by lifting heavy! I promise! I focus on a different muscle group each day... The more muscle you have, the more calories you are burning at rest...so with clean eating, weight training and some cardio, you Will definitely burn fat!

There is already a burning fat thread going on at MFP, right now

I agree with the second part of your posting with the exception of "clean eating".
If a person is eating at a deficit, body weight will decrease. The food does not have to be "Clean", whatever the definition of "Clean" is.
weigh all food intake in a food scale, log it at MFP, eat at a deficit. That worked for me
Good luck in your healthy journey
