Upper body

I really want to be able to increase my upper body strength so I can do a chin up, push up or dip. I can barely hold my son's car seat with him in it. What do you suggest I do? I want to be like the American Ninja Warriors

For chin ups: assisted chin ups, negative chin ups, inverted rows, lat pulldowns, rows in general.
Push up: start by doing them with your hands elevated (against the wall, on a table, on stairs, on a step, whatever) and steady decrease the height until you can do them with your hands on the floor. This will take a while but progression is faster than if you do them on your knees. Also bench presses and chest presses.
Dips: the push ups will help since both use your triceps. Skull crushers, cable rope pushsowns also help.0 -
Alao for dips, start by doing them with your knees bent. Once you are good with that then try them with straight legs than when good with that elevate your legs. Sorry for the bad grammar, etc. I'm really tired lol0
