I'm having a little online shopping spree and trying to make healthy changes to my diet, just wondered if anyone can suggest some must have foods (seeds, nuts, possibly even supplements) - and their benefits, for weight loss and/or health help (digestion, metabolism etc) thanks, any suggestions will be appreciated!

Mine would be:
A variety of vegetables - for micronutrients
lean meats - protein
frozen fish - protein, omega 3, quick from freezer to plate
dried beans - protein, fiber, micronutrients
brown rice, quinoa - my whole grains of choice - carbs, fiber, protein, micronutrients
extra virgin olive oil - fat
peanut butter - fat, fiber, protein, micronutrients, I love it
soy milk - calcium
cocoa roast almonds - fiber, protein, fat, I'm addicted to them
Flat out brand wraps - quick lunches when there are no leftovers
condiments - hot sauces, mustards, vinegars - for dressings and seasoning
maple syrup - carbs, sweetness, awesome mixed with pb
Whole grain frozen waffles - fiber, carbs, delicious and easy
That's all I can think of right off hand, but I pretty much always have these in stock.
ETA: I forgot canned tuna - easy quick protein source and perfect in the wraps0 -

Peanut Butter Peanut Butter Peanut Butter! I'm a Peanut Butter addict. I knew my problem was getting worse when I ordered 15kg's of it online
Some days I eat up to 150g-200g of it.
Did I mention I love Peanut Butter?0 -
I always keep on hand frozen tilapia, quinoa, eggs, protein powder (I like Dynamite Iso 100), almond milk, apples, and a salad mix of cucumber, tomato, broccoli and red cabbage.0

Interesting to see what other people eat!
I've never really thought much about my grocery basket, but as I live alone and eat nearly the same things all the time it should be easy to construct. My list is something like this:
Peanut butter (Meridian crunchy is my fave)
Baked beans (I'm very fussy about the varieties I eat)
Golden delicious apples
Carrots
Frozen peas and sweetcorn
Milk (semi-skimmed)
Meat (extra lean beef mince) - for chilli con carne, my favourite supper!
Chicken thighs/legs - prefer them roasted to chicken breasts
Smoked mackerel
Onions and peppers
Wholemeal bread or pitta
Broccoli
Salad leaves
Then the stuff I love to eat but probably shouldn't so much:
Nuts: peanuts are my absolute fave.
Breakfast biscuits/granola bars - easy to carry around for lunch. My guilty treats are the crunchy nature valley ones, with the eat dark chocolate bar a close second.
Canned soup - lunch most days. Mainly bad because of the high salt content. Used to make my own when I was a student but got lazy.
Cereal - granola or muesli (cereal addict for life )0 -

WIINNNN!!!
Can I be your friend???? Thought I was the only one
Can't buy more than 1kg containers as my friends already think I'm a weirdo.
Do you also get palpitations when the container goes lower than the 1/3 full mark?0 -
Natural quest bars

My grocery list is 2 pages, 3 columns, 8pt type but I'm feeding a family that includes a snack-addicted teen. Some of my must-haves:
Produce: lettuce, carrots, apples, bananas, garlic, ginger, onions, potatoes
Cans: beans, tomatoes in various forms, tuna, fruit in juice
Grains: rice, pasta, oats
Meat: pork chops, chicken breasts, ground beef
Dairy: milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese
Freezer: veggies, fruit, ice cream
Other: Balance bars, protein powder, coffee0 -
I must have, whenever humanly possible, access to:
- Chicken thighs with the skin
- Good olive oil
- Spinach
- Broccoli
- Butter
- Sea Salt & Pepper
- Eggs
- Good mayo

If I was forced to live off only those for an indefinite amount of time, I could do so with a smile on my face.0 -

Stop with your nonsense, you have the CYP2DG gene and can ultrametabolize it. I'm not a Korean man, can not do that much caffeine!0
