Antidepressants & weight

Anyone have any knowledge on this subject? I have gone off mine and feel better than I ever have. I am wondering if these drugs may have had something to do with weight gain over the years. I was taking 100mgs of Zoloft for the past 18 years which was originally prescribed for PMS. Worked wonders but I'm past all that now. Hoping maybe my metabolism will increase. Any input would be appreciated
Thanx~

Considerations
Not all patients taking Zoloft experience weight changes or other side effects. Weight gain and loss are generally most pronounced at the beginning of treatment and often level off after a few months. If weight changes are persistent or severe, your doctor may adjust the dose of medication or prescribe other treatment-

It varies widely even with the same med, one person may get weight gain while another has loss of appetite for example both are possible for the majority of antidepressants. Along with about a zillion other side effects.0
