My motivationame was to increase the amount of fuel and passengers that I could carry in my airplane. For example... if I lost 36 lbs. That equates to 6 gallons more fuel that I can carry. I had great success and lost 65 lbs. Unfortunately I didn't stick with it andoesn't gained back 30 lbs. So now I am back on the wagon and in two weeks I have lost 5 lbs. Any one have a few tricks that will help? I can share a couple that have worked for me. Thanks.

Count your calories and have a deficit. That is the only trick you need when loosing weight.0

I can completely understand the struggle. When I first started learning how to fly I was my heaviest weight. My weight plus my instructors weight meant switching from a C-152, which I was supposed to learn in, to a C-172. In hindsight, it's not a big deal but it motivated me to get my butt in gear. What helped me the most was a consistent workout schedule 5-6 days a week and a balanced meal plan, lots of protein and veggies. Also planning out the day beforehand helps staying on track. Literally write out when/what you will eat and when you will workout. Good luck!0

Yes basic physics, energy in vs energy out. There are a lot of schemes to reduce calories without actually having to count calories. Such as counting carbs eg. In the end it comes down to calories in an out simple as that. The tricks I generally use tend to be things like eating more balanced nutrients and making sure I have vitamins. Sometimes I am hungry not for the sake of being hungry but I am lacking in some nutrients.
Thank you

Hi sjane
I was amazed at how well my airplane flew once I lost 65 pounds. The rate of climb needle actually deflected upwards. The only problem I had was I should have continued using MyFitnessPal to maintain weight instead I gained almost 30 pounds back. I agree with what you say 100%. A couple of other tricks I found useful are things like the 10-minute rule. Where you eat what you planned and if you're still hungry you go get busy in a project for 10 minutes. If you're still hungry you can go eat a little more. But I have found that almost all of the time I look at the clock an hour later and I'm still busy and I'm not hungry. In fact using a couple of tricks I found that when I lost my first 55 pounds I did not suffer and was able to stay under my calorie count. when I got closer to my goal there were a couple of times that I was hungry. it just seemed a little harder then.
Thank you
Leon
