So one of biggest goals is to compete in fitness/physique shows. Since I don't have much guidance yet or a coach to guide me on training/diet for now, maybe anyone on here whose been through it can give me some tips ??

My biggest tip is to take the time to really be prepared. Most women jump into competitions long before they are ready. Take the time to build the muscle and then start cutting for a show with more than enough time to be ready.
Also, make sure you know how deep into this you will be financially. A trainer, posing suit, federation fees, show fees, tan, possibly shoes and makeup/hair. It can be very expensive. It's a rewarding experience if you have a great trainer who takes a reasonable approach and doesn't starve you or have you doing hours of cardio every day.1
