Need Some Ideas for 1400-1600 Daily Calorie

I am looking for some ideas on meals, I would like to know what kind of things people eat who are eating about 1400-1600 cals a day. Currently I am at 1200, and since I have lost some weight, I would like to up my in take a little, but as it is now, I am having trouble eating a good amount, even though I eat healthy and with in proportions.

I eat 4-6 times a day, and with appropriate serving sizes. I don't feel starved or hardly hungry (unless I skip a main meal or I don't get enough water in time).

If possible, it would be nice to look at your food blog. Mine is open if you feel the need to peck at it. I have been adjusting my lifestyle for 6 weeks now.

Recently, we've been going out here and there, so I am getting things from an outsource than I usually would if I stayed at home all day. But the weather is just so lovely, so we're enjoying it before the extreme summer heat kicks in.

I eat healthy with lean meats (including fish) veggies, fruit for snacks a lot of times, very little bread product, and I have not eaten pasta in a long time. I do not usually cook prepackaged foods at home (like frozen dinners). I eat greek yogurt and oatmeal often.

My diary is open if you want to check it out. Yesterday and Sunday were out of the ordinary days for me however, I generally eat in that range as well. Good luck!

ETA I have my diary set for the week you can look through my next few days if you'd like as well.

I will have a look Arains, thank you.

Here's my typical day when I am actually at home making my own meals and not relying on an outsource.

Notice the lack of junk food? I am trying to stay away from it...or have very little, and rely more on my own food I make :)

I suppose an increase of grains could help. Like 1 cup cooked oatmeal instead of 1/2 cup for breakfast.

I like to eat chicken breast or tuna wraps for lunch (usually with lettuce and tomato), easy on the mayo. Depending on the size of the tortilla, they can be between 300 and 600 calories. Today I had a big wrap for around 600 calories.

I don't always eat breakfast, but when I do, I like bacon and eggs or an egg sandwich with bacon or a sausage patty (like an egg mcmuffin but homemade). Without butter or cheese, those are around 300-400 calories each.

You can look at my diary to see more ideas. I stay around 1700 calories a day, but sometimes that includes a couple alcoholic drinks or beer.

I eat 1500. I believe my diary is open as well. If not, here's a typical day for me:

Breakfast: slice of homemade toast with a little butter and jam, or all natural peanut butter on it. If I am going straight to the gym, I might also have a banana or a hard-boiled egg as well.

Lunch (I LOVE salads, today I had): Romaine lettuce and fresh spinach salad with a leftover hamburger patty crumbled into it, a diced avocado, a roma tomato, and 2 tbs Green Goddess dressing. It tasted like a guacamole burger! Delicious.

Dinner, I'll share my favorite meal in the entire world:: Mediterranean chicken (chicken thighs, lemon juice, honey, chickpeas, carrots and raisins seasoned with cumin, salt, pepper and a little cinnamon) Absolutely to die for when served over a serving of rice, but good enough to hold its own without. (And good source of protein!)

I use a recipe similar to this one:

At the end of the day I usually have enough calories left over for some popcorn, or a couple cookies, too. :)

I really appreciate your ideas, thanks guys, really helped loosened my brain a little. It seems that I could easily combine 2 of my 1200 cal diet snacks to make 1 1400-1600 cal diet snacks and be safe.

Arrain, you diet is really good, kinda like mine, healthy :) Love it, thank you for letting me look!

I really like the site you gave me, iarelarry, can't go wrong with more healthy ideas, I am still looking through to see which ones I will git into my day. Thanks! :)

nvpixie, I'll take a look, thank you :)
