Hi! While trying to enter the amount of sit ups I was doing it asked for how long I was doing them and how many calories I burned? I'm just doing them in my room at home so does anyone know a way to keep track of how many calories you might burn whole doing activities similar to this?? Thanks!

I use my heart rate monitor, or mfp estimates it for you. I am lead to believe that it is all estimates and not accurate so I only work on half the figures my HRM gives me. I also just work out at home.

you wont burn as many as you think. sit ups aren't a high calorie burner. i dont even log them. a few sets of 25 burns like 3 calories for me.

Heart rate monitors are designed for steady state cardio. If you are cycling, running, swimming then that's a good option.

Strength & resistance training doesn't burn as many calories are cardio. But it's great for increasing your all around fitness.

I wouldn't track anything less than 1/2 hour of calisthenics. Even then I would discount the estimate MFP gave me. Most people eat back anywhere between 50-75% of exercise calories. It's trial and error.

Just be careful not to log too many incidentals, your activity level does account for a certain range of activity.

I wouldn't log it. If you lose to much weight over a period of time then adjust your caloric intake manually.
