When I do my dairy it logs the steps I have taken and an additional number at the end which I'm presuming is the extra calories I eat. Does that mean I don't need to add the exercise I do as that adds extra calories to eat as well?

Are you talking about the calorie adjustment? My Fitbit does that. It looks at the activity level I set for myself when setting up my weight loss goal in MFP, and then based on my daily activity level it either gives me calories or takes them away. BTW the Negative Calorie Adjustment is a setting that you have to click in MFP. Unless it's a negative calorie adjustment I tend to ignore it, and continue logging all my exercise. But I'd just say do whatever works best for you.0
