Saying hi! Not new to MFP but newly back to MFP.

Just sayin hi to the community... I started my myfitnesspal account probably a year ago or more, but only kept up with it for about 3 days and stopped. I obviously wasn't ready for a lifestyle change yet a year ago.
This time I've been keeping up with MFP for a little while, and am well into a complete lifestyle change, and already down 24 lbs in only a little over a month! I don't know how that's possible, considering I am eating, and do not let myself starve, but I'm sure it'll slow down soon enough as I get closer to my goal weight.
A little history on the things I've changed so far for food intake is quite obviously the type of foods and portion control as the most significant changes. Going from whatever slop and fried stuff my work has at the employee cafeteria, and papa murphy's pizza, spaghetti, pizza hut, any any other pizza place you can imagine to leafy greens, veggies, fruits, and I allow myself one cheat meal a week to eat what I want and disregard portion control (only for 1 meal a week though). Currently though I'm not allowing myself any cheats while my nutribullet fasting is going that I recently started to detox my system of all the crap, but I only just started this juice/smoothie fast yesterday and will only do it for 15-30 days. Started at 15, and will go to 30 if the doc says it's ok to continue it for that long.
I've found though that as time goes on, and I get less and less addicted to HFCS, and other processed crap it's getting easier and easier for me to not cheat as hard each week, and now I have very little desire to eat the same crap I used to. I'm going to keep my cheat meal rule in place though so it's not so much of a "forbidden fruit", because I'm very weak to the forbidden fruits, so if I know that the option is there, it's not going to tempt me as much. I truly feel that allowing myself the cheat meal each week has been the true success to not crashing out of this diet. Weaning myself off of the crap food is great because I'm not just sitting there being envious of my friends who still eat whatever the heck they want and prone to just giving in hard and then keeping it going.
This method may not work for everyone, so please don't take what I've said as an excuse to allow yourself a cheat because you may be the kind of person that can't have cheats because they would cause you to crash out of your healthy lifestyle.
Other things I've done so far is getting a health risk assessment done at my work's clinic and joining their passport to wellness program, started up my gym membership again. Starting up my regular doctor visits, and getting a recommendation to one of the local registered dietician to keep myself on track. Haven't been to the gym more than once this month though because shortly after that first gym visit I got a nasty cold and cough, and every time I've tried excersizing now I go into a major coughing fit! >.< The cough is nearly gone though, so pretty soon I get to excersize again lol...
Anyway, if you've read this far than you're obviously interested enough in me and what I'm doing, so if you felt you wanted to add me as a friend on MFP you're more than welcome to. I can't promise I'll be very active in posting on people's updates and whatnot, as I'm not that overly social typically (log into facebook maybe once a month lol), but I definitely will be keeping up on seeing what any MFP friends I have are doing and I love seeing people's progress!
