Working at a deficit, now I'm tired

Been doing progressive lifting 2x/ week for 6 months. On advice of trainer, I didn't cut calories or add cardio--just working on strength. I haven't really lost weight (maybe 3-4 lbs total), but I'm down 2.5 inches in waist size and seeing some changes in upper body, so I've obviously been building some muscle.

Cuz I'm anxious to hurry up and lose my gut already, the last two weeks I've cut about 300 calories/day and added a brisk 30 minute walk 3X a week. Lost a little over a pound in the last two weeks.

I was feeling pretty terrific up till I started running this deficit, but now I'm tired. Too soon to say if that's a permanent state? I'm not in a particular hurry, but I don't want this process to take FOREVER.

I think a strong 140 would suit me just fine.
