Just curious if your supposed to count calories burned during warm up and cool down. Does it really matter???

Depends on if you burn any extra calories during warm up and cool down. My warm up before lifting is about 30 minutes, and I typically count that (although I don't burn a lot - I count 1 calorie per minute). When doing cardio, my warm up is less time and intensity, so I don't count it. probably isnt going to make much of a difference.

Yes, I do a session of 15-30 min on the rowing machine, moderate intensity, as a warm up.

When I did stretching and yoga, slow controlled movement, I didn't count it.

    Cheers, h.

I usually tack a couple of extra minutes on to my cardio and don't count it. I warm up for 2-3 minutes before lifting and don't count that.

I haven't counted calories burned in over a year probably. I just adjust my calories depending on how my weight fluctuates depending on my goals.

Just more accurate and takes less of my time.
