Is it myth or not I'm confused , if you get to few calories will your go into starvation mode where it retains all the fats you put in it ? I'd like to hear people thoughts on this highly controversial topic.

The way in which people commonly talk about it is a myth. There seems to be this concept that if you don't eat enough, your body starts hoarding fat and you won't lose weight. That just simply defies logic - not to mention ignores that starving people and anorexics certainly aren't holding onto fat.
Long term starvation can have an effect on metabolism, but the way some people seem to think that they didn't lose weight this week because they didn't eat enough is simply erroneous.0 -

No. If your body isn't getting enough inputs it won't retain anything, you'll wither away and ultimately die.
What would be the logic or utility of a process that said "we aren't getting enough to live, let's store what we're getting".0 -
You can not get there until you are under 5% Body Fat......usually 3%.0

This.
Starvation mode is NOT A THING as far as weight loss is concerned. Do not even think about it, it is NOT going to happen to you or effect your weight loss.0 -

Unless you are in a concentration camp, or a POW camp, the chances of starvation mode even applying to you are slim to none.0
