I have 10 stone to lose. Today is my firstday on here. I have no idea how all this works. Help!

    Have you set your goals and been given a daily calorie goal ? Are you using the phone app or the web site.

    Log everything you eat. Move as much as you can. Make friends on here as it's great for motivation (feel free to add me if you like). And before you know it you'll be on your way. Good luck :smile:

    In the field What is your goal? pick a goal according to this:
    If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
    If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
    If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
    If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
    If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.
    Never go below your estimated BMR.

    Use an electronic food scale and weigh everything you eat/drink. Double check entries in MFP database with reliable sources (USDA database and packaging). Log everything. Try to hit your calorie goal every day. Weigh yourself regularly. Adjust calorie goal after you have lost 5-10 pounds. Repeat until goal weight. Then eat some more until weight stabilizes, but not as much as you have been eating. Exercise for health and to look good. Enjoy the process.
