As the studies suggest working together to a similar goal will make this easy so here goes, and making a few friends along the way is just a bonus.
I'm 28/m/london, I've not eaten healthy since I left for Uni 10 years ago, I was active teenager, played rugby for my town but when I left for uni the booze and microwave meals took over and exercise was a thing of the past. I went from 11 stone 5 to my current weight of 14 stone 2. I've flirted with diets in the intervening years but nothing really stuck. and have always been around 13.7 - 14.7. Considering I'm a bit of a shorty at 5ft 7. I'm not at a good weight for my BMI.
So I'm here to get healthy (improve cardiovascular fitness) and lose some weight, I finally got around to joining a gym and have been really enjoying that (been going for around a month 2-3 times a week). I've also started using MFP to track calories and progress. It's early days as I've only been using the app for 2 weeks but I've lost around 6lbs in that time which seems like a lot so who knows if I'm doing it correctly. (have posted a thread about walking calories and their accuracy)
Any tips on what to do at the gym? or ideas for tasty healthy meals would be brilliant.
