Losing muscle

So I went to the gym this morning and also did a recheck on my body fat assessment. Total weight loss was 15 pds but almost 5 pounds of it was muscle loss. What is the Ave healthy amount of muscle someone is supposed to lose?

How was the assessment done?
Keep in mind most of the methods of estimating are not very accurate.

Also, when was the previous assessment done? Was it by the same method?0

I don't think that is preferable to lose any muscle - I'm not aware of a healthy amount to lose.
To minimise muscle loss during calorific deficit:- Lose at a gentle rate - take your time
- Incorporate strength exercise into your weekly activities
- Ensure you are getting a variety of protein in your diet
Note: I would point out that most body fat assessments measurement techniques have a large variation in results and you may not have lost any muscle at all. But, even if this is the case I would still stand by the three points above.

bio-metric impedance - Very unreliable I'm afraid. They are highly susceptible to changes in hydration. I wouldn't pay any attention to those results at all.
Keep calm and carry on.0 -
