Hi all,
Just a question as to calorie burn with a HRM. This morning I went for a walk for 24 minutes, average bpm was 127, and my hrm said I burned 179 calories. Later, I did a 28 minute Insanity Max 30 session (and these are much tougher than a leisurely walk!!) and my HRM said I was at average 159bpm (sometimes hitting 188 even!) but I only burned 131 kcal?!
Does anyone know why this might be? When I put the same average bpm and times into http://www.calories-calculator.net/Calories_Burned_By_Heart_Rate.html, I get:
Walk: 155
Insanity: 366.155
So the walk isn't off by much, but the insanity definitely is.. Any ideas??
