got a question about the calculation of calories expended in exercise. I cycle using a good hr monitor. For the sake of conversation, say my hr/cycling computer tells me I have burned 1000 calories during my 120 minute ride. If my body burns 3 calories per minute just resting then do I really enter 1000 calories minus 3X120 minutes or do I really burn 1000 calories?

That's a great question and unfortunately I'm not versed enough to give you the answer but for tracking sake I would personally subtract the 120 calories0

I always take out 120 kcal/hour from my exercise numbers.0
