Anyone a group fitness instructor? Specifically for Mossa?

Just curious how it all works. I love most of the classes at my gym and I've always wondered if it'd be worth it to get certified and teach.

I guess my main question is.... Do people really pay a ton of money up front for the certifications? Rarely are the trainings local, and I'm assuming you'd be responsible for the plane ticket, hotel and car rental for the weekend the training is, correct?

    Anyone?

If I were to become an instructor, is it better to get certified through another company?

Does your gym offer mossa classes so that you can be employed after certification? I haven't done the training but I know lots of people who have since my gym has mossa programs. I can ask. BTW what certifications do you want? If I could I would do group blast.

Yes, my gym has the mossa programs and yes, you'd be able to work there and teach once you get certified.

Certifications can be done online, however I don't know how they do group fitness certs now. I've had my for a long time and when I went and got it done, I had to physically perform (about 15 minutes) in front of someone to be certified (kickboxing). It can be pricey though. If you can get reading and study material cheap (used) online you'll save a ton. The test itself will run about $150 for first time certifications.
