Does the 30 day ab challenge work

Will the 30 day ab challenge give me solid abs?

    Is that the one where you do a plank for like 30 seconds a day? I don't know what your abs look like now, but must people are going to need a lot more than that to get solid abs. First you need to have low enough body fat. I'd probably throw in some heavy lifting too. But planks are a good addition to a good eating plan and a good workout plan.

    You can firm up the muscle some, but in 30 days it's only going to be an "improvement" from your previous ab condition.
    If you're talking 6 pack abs or a flatter stomach, that's more about calorie deficit. You CANNOT spot reduce fat from any area with exercise.

    It never hurts to strengthen your core but if your abs are not already showing, you would do better with exercises that burn more calories....like almost anything else even walking.
