Why I seem to weigh less the morning after a day in which I do NOT exercise?

Water weight. When you exercise, you lose water through sweat, so your body retains more afterwards. You also retain water to help your muscles recover after exercise.

When you don't exercise, you don't hold onto the extra water weight.
