Sudden loss of appetite

So the way my weight loss started was due to a sudden extreme decrease in appetite. It was so bad that eating more than half a cup of food would make me throw up. Now I'm 30 lbs lighter in just 3 months. Although I'm happy about this, it freaks me out because it's not healthy. I've really focused on eating as healthy as I can when I do eat so I get adequate nutrition. Any ideas of what this could be or what could help me stay healthy?

You should see a doctor. This could be a symptom of something serious, and you should not trust internet forums for diagnosis.

I have to say. I've experienced days of not being as hungry but I do push myself to eat on those days.

I've been to my primary care dr as well as a gi. The gi thinks my stomach has too much bile and has done nothing since then.

It is time you start logging everything you eat on here.
This could be something serious and a doctor will want to see what you are eating.
Also log alcohol and drugs (legal or recreational) you might take since they can EASILY cause this.

You could try a daily regimen of nexium or another over-the-counter anti-heartburn/reflux med. You might also want to go back to your doctor. Vomiting after eating 1/2 cup of food and losing 30 lbs. in a short period is a sign of illness. If you have too much bile, you could have gall bladder issues.

Yes I had my gallbladder removed at 17. I haven’t had issues since then, other than a case of IBS. I will return to the doctor and see if they want to do further tests. They have done a full blood panel as well as stool samples. I had an endoscopy done about a year ago, and nothing was wrong then. Thanks for the advice! I do log everything I eat so I will show my doctor.
