I know you can't change how God made you. But I I know I can alter it a little. What are some good exercises to slim the butt and thighs? I am currently doing a bunch of cardio, a 1/2 -1 hour 6 days a week alternating between an elliptical, walking on the road and on a treadmill and swimming. I know I haven't mastered cardio yet, but I want to take my fitness to another level and start a strength training routine. I also ride and show horses Hunter undersaddle, and you have to have some killer leg muscles and core strength, so I want to also take my riding to another level bye getting fit outside the saddle. So any advice workout plans would be greatly appreciated!!!!

No exercise will slim the butt and thighs---slimming is due to caloric deficit and fat comes off wherever it pleases first. The unfortunateness of life
You can however build muscles in your lower body. back squats, front squats, plie squats, goblet Squats, Bulgarian split squats, (all the squats), walking lunges, stationary lunges, front lunges, back lunges, side lunges, Romanian deadlifts, leg extensions, leg curls, hip thrusters, glute bridges, cable kicks, glute raises, adductors, abductors, etc.
I like to do a heavy compound movement like back squats and then do exercises that focus a bit more on specific muscles. Romanian deadlifts mainly get the hamstrings (add a squeeze at the top for the glutes), hip thrusters work the glutes more, leg extensions work the quads, etc.
A lot of people here talk about stronglifts (no idea what this is). You can find a lot of free workouts on bodybuilding.com or oxygenmagazine. However, I think if you have any background in lifting, you can easily construct a program for yourself.

To "slim the butt and thighs" lose fat via a caloric deficit. A caloric deficit is achieved by ingesting fewer calories than you burn. Do that by eating less, moving more, or a combination of the two.
If you are interested in strengthening your butt and thighs, consider weight training. Strong Curves is a book, written by Bret Contreras, that has a lower body focus (though three of its programs are full body.) You may want to check it out.0
