My New Strategy

I'm down almost 40 pounds, but despite the occasional "You look great!" comment I really haven't noticed any difference in myself. Probably because the change was so gradual that there really wasn't any "aha!" moment. The other day I was at a restaurant with some coworkers and one of them grabbed my wallet off the table because my drivers license was showing and he wanted a closer look. Nosey of him yes, but I'm glad he did because I really looked at my license photo for the first time in a really long time. For most people those photos are terrible anyway, but it was pretty jarring comparing my current facial structure to when that photo was taken two years ago.

So next time I start feeling like I look the same, and all of this exercise and calorie cutting has been for nothing... I need to pull out my drivers license because wow... I look super different.

So happy you recognize how much your hard work has paid off. Keep that picture as a reminder of how far you've come and keep up the great work!!!

I decided to start taking progress pics for this very reason. Like you, I'm down around 40 lbs but still don't really notice the change unless I look back at older pics. Theyve been a good reminder that things are actually moving along just fine when I feel like I'm stuck.

I need to be taking progress pictures. The problem is that I just really don't like having pictures taken of myself. I think I just got used to thinking all pictures of me were terrible so I don't like having any taken now.

    Kudos to you!

You could always take selfies of yourself only for you to see, record the date in them and then look at them later!
