So, I can't do real push ups, but I can do about 30 girlie push ups. I like to think they're improving my strength, but I came across this article stating they won't make you stronger. Thoughts?? Here's the link:

I'm not sure about them not increasing your strength at all but I agree that doing incline push ups is a much better option than knee push ups especially if your goal is to eventually be able to do full push-ups. 30 is a pretty high number. I would think if you could do 30 off your knees you could do some off your toes. If you can't it does seem to follow that there are muscles other than those primarily used knee push ups (like the core) that are stopping you from doing a full one.

I didn't read the article but a lot of people I see doing the knee push ups keep their booty in the air and just dip their shoulders down without using any muscles whatsoever. The toe push ups would force you to use the muscles you're skipping with bad knee push up form. I try and do at least one set of regular push ups before dropping to my knees.

Incline pushups are much better at preparing you for full pushups

Incline pushups. Helps you build that correct plank position you need in a push up. Just get shorter and shorter benches or boxes. :)

To echo what has repeatedly be said, incline pushups are far better than kneeling pushups for preparing for regular pushups.
