I'm so new to this sharing and blogs and whatnot so I hope I'm posting this right.
Also, sorry this may get long. Haha
Here goes...my name is CJ, I'm close to 40 and have struggled with weight my whole life, some years were worse than others, but pretty much a thick girl always. I had a child young and didn't lose the pregnancy weight so there's part of my weight issue. Years later, after staying pretty much the same size, I quit smoking (with the patch) which was extremely hard for me but I did it! Yay!
Quitting THAT bad habit cost me 30 lbs in 2 months. During that year I slowly kept gaining no matter how healthy I ate or exercised. Come to find out I have hypothyroidism. Ugh!!! Took me years to get it somewhat manageable but all the while I joined Weight watchers and it took me 9 months to lose 35lbs which was frustrating.
So I did other diets and nothing was working. I found out I was prediabetic and started meds, few months later I had high cholesterol and that scared the *kitten* out of me. Wtf was happening to me? I researched thyroid diets and and foods that helped lower blood sugar and cholesterol and found Paleo! I lost 15lbs in 2 1/2 weeks and felt freaking fantastic!!
My cholesterol went down so no more meds and blood sugar meds went down.
I ended up quitting that and haven't gained the weight back but I'm having serious aches and pains. I've hit rock bottom with my weight and want to kick it's *kitten*!!! I started back on Paleo have done pretty good so far losing.
I am an outgoing, open, happy, very blunt person and can be very competitive if with the right ppl. I don't have good support at home so I thought a fitness app could connect me to the right ppl.
I am in a rough patch with life right now and could use some serious support. Feel free to speak your mind no matter what cause I will do the same. I need tough love right now and I can provide the same...along with some laughs. Thank you!!!
