I am considering the Stronglifts 5x5 method to lose weight.
I also want to do cardio 30-40 minutes a day
I am currently 268lbs and am only 5'2
I am not sure if this is the best method for me to lose weight/inches. (not trying to get bulky) Therefore, I was hoping those of you who have done it would share their success stories.
Please share your before/after pics, before and after weight, and tips/advise? How long did it take for progress?
I heard if I do heavy weights it will burn calories faster which in turn will make me lose weight faster, ideas? thoughts? theories?
I really want to lose some inches by June 18 since I am a bridesmaid and don't fit in my dress. Is this even possible?
Thanks for the support everyone! and for the success stories, I really appreciate it!

Stronglifts isn't going to be a huge calorie burn, but it will help you maintain your existing lbm. That in turn equals a leaner look as fat is lost. It is really hard for women to bulk up even when they want to and that requires eating in a surplus.
The Feb. 2015 picture is the day I started Stronglifts and the rest are comparisons through June 2015.
These pictures are to show that I got smaller while lifting, but really getting smaller was from accurate calorie tracking and keeping myself in a deficit.0 -
I do SL 5x5 and run. I have done SL on and off for the past 2.5 years and I love it. I have had no problem losing weight whilst following the program. I do the program 2-3 times a week depending on work commitments/listening to my body as the weights are rather heavy now and I run 3 times a week. I'd highly recommend it. You're shape changes so quickly and I'm forever getting compliments on my slender toned arms and legs too. There's still a lot of work to be done on my legs but I'll get there. Even my stomach is coming along now. Do it0
