There is no search option. I've been trying to add a goddamn banana for, literally, over half an hour. This is complete *kitten*.

The official entry for bananas has been broken for months. You might have to go to the USDA database and use the data from there to create an entry for it.0

-first, ty for the reply.
Unfortunate for the banana thing, but how do you search for foods period? The only options i see is either scan a bar code or add the food item from scratch. Is there no database of food products that you can browse/search? I'm using an android, Samsung S7 Edge of that helps.0 -
Hmm. I'm on an iPhone, not sure that my app would be any different. I go to the big plus sign at the bottom, then add "food", then pick a meal or time, and the search bar shows at the top like so.

I have an older Samsung Galaxy (s4) and you can add food/search the same way as you do with the iPhone screenshot above. Looks slightly different but essentially the same. I've noticed there are some Android glitches. Like I can't update my weight or add exercise from the app and have it reflect in the app. If it's not working for you possibly another Android issue?0

In the app go to
1) + Add Food
2) search for a food
3 type banana
4) click on "search"
5)select (Bananas - Raw (1 medium ) 105 calories.0 -

Actually, I would select an entry that has bananas in gram measurements, so you can weigh it and log it accurately. I've had bananas as small as amounting to around 60 calories, all the way to 140 calories, depending on the size. Huge difference.0
