New thought for logging
bisky

Today I went out to lunch with friends after a 5 K. I took a pic of my salad because I thought it was pretty. Yes, I am one of those annoying foodies but I get great ideas from pics. Later I logged it (always harder for me going out to eat). Then this evening I was looking at pics and realized I forgot the olives and cheese in salad...yikes! My exercise today more than made up for extra forgotten calories but now I am wondering:
1. How much I have done this in the past?
2. Do I have beginning Alzheimers?
3. Maybe I should do this more often!

There are a few people on here who take pictures of their food a lot, just so they can log it later. It's a good idea if you're going out to dinner for sure. Salad looks good0

I prelog before I order so I don't have to worry about that stuff. I don't get things I can't account for which is easy for me because I am a picky eater.0

This was my first time to this restaurant and sometimes in Italy it is hard to guess what you are going to get even if you ask.

I hope you don't have Alzheimer's because it's an evil disease. Had you had any experience dealing with it you wouldn't be making smiley faces.0

That salad looks awesome...0

I take pictures of restaurant meals, too, and sometimes even homemade meals. I have short-term memory loss, and a picture really is worth a thousand words.0

I am sorry to those who are sensitive about it and that I offended with a smiley face. I do have experience with Alzheimer's having taken care of several patients in the ER and my family. My niece worked in an Alzheimer's facility for several years and we would discuss it at length. It is a sad and evil disease but so is cancer, and millions of other diseases. To be honest it is something I worry about at my age as I seem to not have the memory I had when I was young. At the same time, retaining a sense of humor is important in life, especially when you are making fun of yourself and not others.
If is really is that offensive to you pm me and I will ask administrators to take my post down.0 -

i cared for my grandmother until her death. she had Alzheimers. I don't find it offensive in the least.
anyways, I wouldnt worry about it. we all log the best we can. those olives I doubt add much, and same for the cheese. Assuming you have been losing weight, I think you're doing okay. Just be more mindful in the future1
