So far it's been working for me. I'm at 1200 calories and I've been a able to lose 2+ lbs a week, but I've been working out as well. I've only been doing this for 3 weeks though.0

I have MFP synched with Fitbit and was maintaining pretty well with 1,760 calories + 75% of my exercise calories (started trying to lose two weeks ago and it's too soon to say how I'm doing). If you're logging properly, it should work.

If you're talking about the 5 week estimate, I used the feature once and promptly abandoned it.0
