Advice for irregular working hours?

So I'm usually ok with my food intake during the day but I start to struggle at night. The problem for me is days like today where I was up at 7.30am for exercise and to go to university. But I'm also working until midnight.
Stretching my intake over that much time is hard, so usually I default to drinking coffee to stop the hunger.
Any other advice for late night cravings?

I'm a student too and the first thing I learned quickly is to be kind to yourself. If you're hungry don't think it's a craving because if you're here on fitness Pal you crave health more. Your probably bored, stressed, or thirsty. I'm not saying don't drink coffee. But listen first to your body. If you drink coffee but instead you're actually really stressed you're only going to exacerbate you "hunger" because you've only simulated your self but still have the stresser in your life or day.
Next advice is to carry healthy snacks everywhere. You crave something in your head and your hand will grab the snack instead of going to the vending machine. Does this work 100% of the time? Nope but it's actually the 80 70% of the times that you don't reach for the vending machine of the time that will help you lose weight. Besides with the snacks you'll find that you'll be eat seemingly alot but because your snacks are healthy they are fueling your studies and your work.
These two things have helped me fight back binges.0 -
Some days are long and some are short. Therefore adjust your eating to the long and short days.
Do a daily average over the week.0
