I'm on mfp for the aim to gain some muscle (I'm female)! Is it ok to go over my sugar if I'm eating things like sweet potatoe and fresh fruit n veg? I eat very little with added sugar apart from a nature valley protein bar which has 5grams I think

Yes. You can ignore the MFP sugar

It's only meant for counting added sugars. You don't need to worry about it if you don't have a medical issue concerning sugar. Many super healthy fruits & veggies are full of sugar, and they're also good for you. :)

No, the MFP goal is for Total sugars. It's 15% of calories.

It works for people who eat no more than 2 servings of fruit. But I think of 2 servings as a minimum, not a max.

If your focus is gaining muscle make sure you have enough protein. Otherwise it does not matter.

Minimize fruit. Small amount of Blueberries ok.
