I'm 32, and trying to slim down to make it cheaper for when my Parents buy a bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding in September, for me.

I'm currently at a steady 278 lbs.

I'm doing calorie counting (Limit of 2,250 a day) and trying to squeeze in exercise whenever I can, which I'm finding difficult with a full time job that is just utterly mentally draining. (not like the job is hard, it's just the company and certain coworkers make it hard)

Also doesn't help that I have a huge laundry list of medical issues, many of which cause unending physical pain, as well as medicines I was on previously that made me go from 135 lbs to a whopping 298 lbs. in about a year and a half.

But I'm trying to do this, not just for the dress obviously but also just to get healthier. (Most it's for vain reason, I'm tired of spending between $20-$30 extra per clothing item on plus size items, no to mention the frankly ugly attire they try to dress anyone curvy in.)

I'm on day 6 of this and have done fairly well each day, with only 2 days exceeding the count (not by much)

I do suffer from motivational issues, and tend to loose steam pretty quick. (so far I'm doing ok)

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for community wise other then possibly recipes, as a self described non-pretentious foodie, restricting my food intake and choices has been my biggest issue. I worry about becoming bored with the meals and as a result just stopping... also the financial aspect of costs is an even larger issue with me, despite working full time hours, I struggle to make ends meet, and food costs sometimes hurt me..

So if anyone else is a food/cooking lover and has some great meals feel free to add me, I've done a few things if anyone is interested as well. (you can find links to pics and stuff about what I've done in my food log notes section)
