@enterdanger Portishead are pretty much the epitome of trip hop (Massive Attack, Tricky, Chinese Man, Flunk, Death in Vegas, Moloko, Thievery Corporation, etc)

Love Young the Giant! They're one of my favorite sing-along bands.

thanks @DeviatedNorm I'm a big Tricky fan too. I saw Young the Giant about 18 months ago. Their singer was sick but he still had mad powerful vocals. I have to admit though, I didn't love the 2nd album. The first album blew me away.

They were where I live last year (Milwaukee, WI). Tickets sold out before I even heard about the concert :s
I've seen them before, but they always put on a fantastic show.

I literally listen to almost everything there is possible. I go all the way back to about 50's music to today's. I'm very all over the place. Anything from rock, classic rock, metal, new wave, alternative, oldies, r&b, soul, electronica, etc. Some of my favorite bands/artists:
    - Depeche Mode.
    - The Cure.
    - Nine Inch Nails.
    - Silverchair.
    - Information Society.
    - Chvrches.
    - The Hush Sound.
    - Phantogram.
    - Azealia Banks.
    - Blondie
    - Berlin
    - The Carpenters
    - Slipknot
    - Rammstein
    - Metric
    - The Smiths

There's too many to list honestly, there's just too many I really am into. My friends are always amused by when I put my MP3 player on shuffle & how diverse my music tastes are lol, but I love it. My musical moods change all the time from day to day, I love just having a variety for how I'm feeling.

I listen to everything, really, except country music post-1990 or so (sorry to the guy above me). But I always, always listen to the Beastie Boys. Coworkers have described my musical tastes as "90% Beastie Boys, 10% everything else".
