GYM TOWELS?

So I want to clarify Gym towel etiquette... What size towel, do you take two; one for equipment and another for body sweat? What colour do you take?

Two towels - one for working out one for shower....we only have white

Hand towel for wiping, Large towel for showering, various colour though try to avoid white, only due to them going dingy after several washes (most of the detergents that swear to keep whites looking white bring me out in rash).
