Big discrepancy

So...I finally got my replacement strap for my Polar FT7 AND I put new batteries into everything.

Been MFP now for 35+ days mostly jog or spin bike and free weights for calorie burning exercise.

Bike says 13 miles 56 minutes 646 cal
HR Montior says 56 minutes 465 cal

That seems like a big discrepancy. Do machines overestimate THAT MUCH?

All these weeks I was basically lying in my charting then.

Yes...my treadmill gives me wonderfully high numbers, my Fitbit puts me back into reality tho...lol! It's very eye opening, isn't it? Same with weighing food...I spent the first two months eyeballing, very surprised to see the difference the scale proved!

You weren't lying: you were using the best information you had available.

Guess now that I know better, I can't ignore it. Knowing better will refocus me into doing better.

Exactly...I ramped my workouts up in intensity and time ever since, to try to keep up with what I THOUGHT I was burning before..lol.
