"My Journey" Part 2
So weighted in on Christmas Eve, 207 lbs. A change needed to be made. After mindfully eating over the holiday and getting in the mind set, I jump right into 2016 New Year a "New Me"! Change had to be made and what a perfect time to start on the 1st. In combination with my "Fitbit", I was going to "Do It"! I don't want to be fat anymore, I don't want to feel blahh, I don't want to be plus size anything, I don't want to be depress! Change had to be made, It was obvious and that is what I did.
So I tracked every bit of food and liquid. Even when I didn't want to because I binged on chocolate and snacks or had a lazy weekend and did take-out. There was guilt on hitting the "Complete Entry" button. I didn't want to see my weight in 5 weeks, because it increased. No no no. I'm not going to lie, I became a little obsess with the scale. But I wanted to see, what my binge eating on junk did to me. I monitor my body so well, you could see the result of what you eat in the toilet (not to be gross) and on the scale. A lot of water and healthy eating. Try really hard not to eat any process or unhealthy fats and carbs. To replace my "SUGAR" addiction of sweets, I eat plenty of banana, apples, oranges and berries. More whole grains and green veggies. I been using all my features of MyFitnessPal to monitor my progress. MyFitnessPal, Fitbit and me, my motivation.
So eating alone was not going to change all my weight problems, I had to kick up my movement a notch. I don't have time to go to the gym because, I don't. I hate the gym. So If this was really going to be a life changing me, I had to do what work for me and will for the rest of my life. This is a life change. The gym doesn't work for me, but a home gym does. Not like I have the space, but in my living room I make it work. So I been doing Piyo, combination of Yoga & Pilates and it deliver high-intensity results with low-impact moves on DVD. I don't follow the program suggested plan. I just do the workouts when I feel like it. Some days I will do 2 workout back to back and then there is time I will do my own thing. I got some yoga mats and blocks, bands weights. I'm all good at home and it works for me. When I feel achy or my bones crack, I know I need to stretch. I will jump on the yoga mat and stretch for 20 minutes. I listen to my body. Your body tells you when you need to stretch, eat and sleep. And that what I have been doing. I'm down 20 pounds. I tracked all my progress for 70 + days. It took time, energy and a lot of tracking tracking tracking data! It was worth it. I learn so much about my body by doing so.
More to come... 20 pounds down 60 pounds more to go.
