Yes! I can't stand the "diet". For weight loss or maintenance, protein with fruits/veggies. Recipes matter! Planning is key. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I found a boat load of awesome recipes on bodybuilding.com. Really, really good! I just had the Sriracha Turkey Muffins with Polenta Frosting today. Was so good! Have had many other recipes o there including the Crustless Pumpkin Pie (50 calories a slice). I would recommend to anyone who wants to lose weight eating food that actually tastes good. Hope that helped!

The hardest part for me is laying out my meals over too long a period. So what I do is go week by week and leave room for unexpected. My job is unpredictable so I may not be able to have a full days worth of meals so this works good for me.

Get a week planner or the like. Figure out what your nutrition needs are per meal. Protein, carb, veggies and etc. Then write it out over a 7 day period.

So for a day in my world it goes like this

    Bfast: Banana, granola bar
    Snack: Raisin bran cereal
    Lunch: Baked chicken salad
Snack: banana or popcorn or yogurt
Diner: Grilled chicken and steamed veggies

So I shop for my week of groceries accordingly.

Just go thru that process for the week. And if you don't know what you have a taste for leave it open until you go shopping. Pick out some meats and sides that will fit into your plan.

And I buy an assortment of meats and veggies so if I'm feeling like something different I can. The beauty of the plan is it should be flexible not rigid. Rigidity leads to breaks.
