I was active back when I was in high school but have never been a runner. I recently started running in January and I am up to 2.5-3 miles about 2-3 times a week. The only issue I am having is the pain my shin splints give me. It makes it really hard to push through. Any advice on how to make them less painful/ get rid of them would be greatly appreciated!!

Go to a running store that will analyze your gait and get fitted for some good shoes. That cured my shin splints pretty quickly.0

Foam roll that area. You can use a tennis ball also. Press it in and do circular motions, then move the ball down the leg and repeat.0

These worked for me, had horrible shin splints any time I ran, not anymore.
