What is a figure competition? If it's pitting yourself against other women, I'd invite you to consider the tremendous benefits of female friendships vs the sexist, classist exploitation of women for male gain/gaze and ditch the competition and instead focus on mutual support of women who 'get' you and your/our body issues, thanks to patriarchy.

Figure is a type of bodybuilding competition. Men also compete in body building so it isn't sexist.

Sorry I am not a figure competitor, but wish you all the luck in your first competition.
I have an acquaintance that did her one and only competition last fall and I was blown away by the amount of work and dedication she put into it.

I compete in bodybuilding. It can be very rewarding to challenge yourself and overcome all the obstacles that will happen along the way. I believe there are some women in the gaining weight section who compete in figure and a few who have posted success stories about their competitions.
