I been taking l glutamine supplements for a while now... And I'm scared that I messed up my body natural ability to produce glutamine. How do I know if my body stopped naturally producing it on its own? Please help. The reason I ask is because I here a lot of people say supplements and creating can make your body stop producing naturally.

I doubt very seriously you have damaged your normal body functions.. I also think you don't really need the supplement. There are very few that have any effect at all.0

Glutamine is an amino acid found in protein. If you eat meat, you should be fine. You might be deficient in it if you are a vegan or vegetarian, or have a medical condition that depletes your glutamine stores heavily. http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/supplement/glutamine
Other than this, recent studies have shown possible benefits to gut health.
