It's about the NUMBER of calories you take in. Measuring quantity gives you the calories. As you are logging food you will see patterns. Am I getting enough protein? Does my diet include enough fat? It's impossible to tell from a list of foods.
Variety - It's not just a list of foods you deem "healthy." Pretty much ALL food you eat should be on this list. Sure, some foods will become infrequent. That's the lifestyle change part. It's not that I never eat fast food anymore, it's that fast food is no longer several days of the week.0 -
