Yesterday was an overeating day and the only I can attribute it to is eating that cinnamon roll in the morning. From the morning on, all I wanted to do was eat more high calorie foods the rest of the day. Has anyone else had this happened to you?

Yes. I feel overeating is a slippery slope. What works for me is eating food I like that are nutritious as well as tasty, most of the time, and leave treats for special occasions.

I stumbled across this yesterday - in case anyone jumps in with "food addiction is not a thing" - and it makes a lot of sense as most people who binge, don't binge on nutritious food, neither on plain sugar, but on junk: http://www.eatlikeanormalperson.com/overcoming-food-addiction/

@llbrixon I have been there many times. I am okay but one carb calls for 2 carbs and 2 calls for 4... At some point I am NOT okay any longer. :(

yep, that's how I am with my Starbucks in the morning. My drink is a grande Americano with three pumps of white mocha (the standard is 4, but I ask for 3 because 4 is too sweet). I then top it off with half and half.

I've been drinking those for about ten years, lol. In the past when I've logged, I've tried to budget in that drink. However, even when I'm within my normal calorie budget for the day, I find that when I have that drink in the morning I'm starving by lunch and again by dinner time. So now I never get those in the morning.

I do, however, occasionally get that drink as a decaf in the late afternoons, and it has no affect on my other meals.

So experiment around! I know it varies from person to person, but for me, personally, breakfast really is the most important meal. Not only for how I behave but how I feel generally.
