tired and hungry. Sometimes I fall asleep during the day. This part of dieting is not fun. How do I stop this from happening?

How much are you eating? Are you exercising? Do you eat back some or all of those exercise cals? One of the more common causes is by having goals that are too aggressive. I would start by looking at that. Next examine your macros (protein, fat, carbs). I find some foods are more filling than others.0

I'm not eating much. I've gone from eating whatever, whenever. To not really eating much because I don't want to eat too much and healthy seems quite expensive and I'm not very creative. I'm not exercising much either. I'm a full time single mum, so I'm quite busy, running here and there.

You need to be more scientific with your dieting. "not eating much" could be too little which would cause you to feel tired. Do you log a food diary in MFP?0

Eat what you can afford.
Put your stats into MFP and eat the calories it gives you.
Fresh veg and lean meats are good but cheaper cuts and frozen veg are good too.
Find what works in your budget and keeps you satisfied.

Exactly. If you have no energy and you're not eating much that is your most likely culprit. Are you losing weight? How much? Being a single mom is going to be exhausting as well. So if you aren't losing weight, then consider the stressors in your life. If you are losing weight, particularly if it's fast, you should eat more for the energy improvements.0 -
You don't need to worry about "eating too much", because as long as you have a sensible calorie goal here on MFP you can eat quite a lot in a day and still lose weight. You need enough fuel to do mom stuff. You can't be eating minimal calories.0

Sounds like you need to fuel your body better....0

Healthy is not expensive and eating less overall should not cost any more than "eating whatever, whenever." As a mom you should consider the example you are setting for your child (ren) when it comes to food. Going from "whatever, whenever" to "not eating much" to the point of being tired and hungry and falling asleep because of it is not healthy.0
