5:2 Diet Question

Hi all I decided this week that I would do two days of 500 calories. I wanted to know if you exercise (nothing drastic just my usual to and from work walk) which is still 40 mins in total should I eat this calories? Otherwise I'm in deficit by 123 which brings my daily consumption way too low! Thanks in advance. A

No the 5:2 diet says just a flat 500 calories on the two fasting days (600 for men).
On the 5 normal days eat at maintenance levels which would include eating back exercise calories.
Your normal walk to/from work is really part of your daily activity setting rather than exercise.
Worth joining the 5:2 groups on here by the way.0 -
Thanks...that's a good idea I'll check them out.0

That's kind if a "as tolerated" thing. Try it out and see how you do. I find I sometimes have to take it a little easier in my 500 calorie days.0
