Prom Cut

I currently weigh 220 lbs and I'm trying to cut some weight off. I've been bulking for the last year. My prom is coming in two months and I want to look fit. I've recently been introduced to intermittent fasting and HIIT Cardio. I am considering using both as tools to aid me in my weight loss. The question I have is how much do you think I will weigh if I go through an 8 hour fast every other day(MWF) and stop my strength training to pursue HIIT Cardio?

Intermittent fasting and HIIT cardio can be great tools, but at the end of the day it's calories in vs. calories out. The amount of weight you'll lose is determined by your caloric deficit. How you choose to create your deficit (whether through intermittent fasting or HIIT Cardio) is up to you. But one thing you shouldn't do is stop strength training, you want to preserve as much muscle as possible that you built during your bulk.0

I forgot to mention that I feel I just got fat over my bulk lol. I feel like I eat a little too good and I have a bad habit of eating after 8 pm. Any recommendations ?0 -
Chose whatever the eating method you prefer, eat at times that suit you. It doesn't matter.
The only important thing is being in a calorie deficit.
Get a scale, weigh your food, cups and spoons for liquids, and stick to your MFP goal.
Eat what ever you like, within your goal, but the more nutritious the more healthy you will be.

Thanks for the advice everyone0

Meal timing has no profound effect on your metabolic rate, so eating after 8pm isn't really an issue. I personally don't like intermittent fasting because I find it to be too restrictive and it doesn't work well with my hectic schedule. But if it works for you go ahead.0

If you want to do a true cut it means only losing about a pound week. So if you have 2 months that's 8 pounds. The key is you have to have a calorie deficit and you should achieve this by eating less. Get a food scale and track your calories as close to perfect as possible. Personally I would skip the fast and just worry about the calorie deficit but that's me...
Hiit is fantastic for a cut but DON'T STOP LIFTING. Lifting during a cut helps you retain more muscle and have more of the weight loss come from fat. I mean think about it if you spent a year bulking why would you want to throw it all down the drain by losing the muscle you worked so hard for.
Now during a cut you'll defiantly not feel as strong, I'm two weeks into my cut and I already notice I can't lift as hard. Typically it is recommended during a cut to focus less on volume and more on trying to lift the same weight you were before (so heavy weight, low reps). And make sure you're still working all of the different muscle groups.
