Hey guys,
My name is Cole Matthews, and I'm just joining MyFitnessPal for the first time. I've been working out for about 5 years now and as of December I finally hit my body and weight goal! Woo! I told myself that when I hit my goal I was going to join a few forums and do what I can to help others achieve theirs too, so here I am. Now I'll be honest, I'm no personal trainer, but over the years I've become a total fitness freak and I've learned a LOT of what works and what doesn't as well as the science behind working out, so I feel I'm pretty qualified to answer most questions and provide help.
I also run a home fitness blog on the side called HomeGymr where I've reviewed some home gym equipment that I've used over the years (I'm kind of a nut about trying out different equipment lol), but other than that I'm just here to browse around and help where I can
Happy to be here and hope you'll have me!

I had to quickly come back and post again to save myself from looking stupid! Lol
I do have a question actually, were you eating anything you desired (granted it fit into your calorie allowance) during your weight loss? Or did you stick to specific food?0 -

Lol I know the feeling!
For a long, long time I ate whatever I wanted. I've never really been a bad eater when it came to good vs. bad food, so it's not like I was scarfing down bad food all the time, but for years I didn't pay any attention to diet. I was making great progress in the gym so I didn't really care.
That being said, about a year ago, I decided to start paying attention to see if it made any difference for me. I only ate healthy foods, things like chicken, vegetables, eggs, etc. I didn't see an enormous difference as far as my physical gains, but I noticed a big difference in energy. I have way more energy when I'm eating healthy. I'm not really a big supplement-taker so that was big to me.0 -
