Question about strong lift 5x5

I joined the gym about a month ago but have only been doing cardio but have decided to start the 5x5 programe it days to take a day test between every workout but can I still do cardio on those rest days I really want to work out 5 days a week and not 3 like it says I can only get to the gym on weekdays so can't do the 5x5 on weekdays and cardio on weekends thanks for any help

    Lifts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, cardio Tuesday and Thursday?

    Depends on your goals. If you want to get as strong as possible, as fast as possible, cardio on rest days could potentially hinder your recovery and progress slightly. If you want to just get overall fitter, do cardio on your rest days if you want, just don't over do it. Just don't lift 2 days in a row.
